webXten teamed up with
Lost Romance (www.lostromance.net) to bring live Text-to-Web
TM technology to one of their shows. Using this technology, concert goers were able to text their images to a special text number provided by webXten. A Lost Romance representative was then able to publish each picture to the
fan page of their website giving concert goers to opportunity to interact with the band during the show.
webXten provides this technology as a concierge service. “We are practicing the lean startup method. Without investing upfront in the technology, we are offering the service and providing manual integration allowing us to test our concept and later building exactly what the customer’s need.”
webXten technology strives to provide business owners simple and creative tools for adding unique content to their websites and automating the display. webXten’s simple web editing interfaces allows users to easily
make announcements,
schedule pre-set content for display,
refresh a website’s appearance, or even
syndicate content to multiple websites.
About Lost Romance
In an era of television music idols, internet video sensations and interchangeable indie bands that are about as edgy as a pair of mom jeans, Lost Romance harkens back to an earlier, simpler time. With a plug in and play brash rock sound that is just as home with the likes of The Replacements, Husker Du and The Lemonheads as it does with Nirvana, Buffalo Tom and fellow New Brunswick, NJ natives The Smithereens and The Gaslight Anthem.
Since late 2011, LR have made a name for themselves throughout the North East as a live act to be reckoned with. Averaging close to 100 tour dates a year, the band has been winning over fans from Maine all the way to Florida with raw, honest rock n’ roll. They have shared digital space on comps with Real Estate, The Front Bottoms, Nicole Atkins, La Sera and have shared stages with Rye Coalition, TAB the Band, Elliot Easton (The Cars), Clem Burke (Blondie) to name a few. In addition they have also been nominated for several Hoboken Music Awards including Outstanding Male Solo and E.P. of the year.
LR’s debut E.P. “The Light And The Dark” is slated for release in 2013 on Los Angeles based indie label, Starving Dog Records. Regional and national touring is expected.
